There are so many opportunities for taking action…here are a few to consider. Please send other ideas I should add to this page to contact@thepledgepodcast.com!

Stay Informed

One of them most important things we can do is pay attention to the news at the local, state, and national level. There’s a lot more going on than the presidential election! Go beyond your Facebook feed to sources of news and information that you might not generally consult.

Communicate, Rally, and Protest

Do you like what you see in government or the private sector? Make your voice heard! Your representatives pay attention to who is sending in letters, emails, and phone calls, and they notice when people are out on the street demanding change. What are you waiting for?

Voter mobilization

  • Join the Center for Common Ground’s Reclaim Our Vote project. You’ll find actions you can take to support voters of color in states with a history of voter suppression. Actions include phone banking, texting and post-carding.

  • Reach out with the Environmental Voter Project (EVP) to identified environmentalists to make sure they are registered to vote, and pledge to vote in the upcoming election. Actions include phone banking and texting.

Support a campaign

Learn about some of the people running for office locally, in your state, or nationally, and consider supporting the campaign with a donation or volunteering your time and talents!
